i should be doing elsewhere but have a need to communicate here. Mulling over last meeting and suspect i am not alone in thinking that in order for there to be anything to interrupt curatorially we should convene in practice and properly introduce ourselves. (residency agenda?)

speaking for myself one of the potentially interesting 'things' about this project is the collaborative dimension and how this might extend ideas of individualised/atomised models of artist producers into a kind of networked practice with people coming together to make and play with ideas. some of us are better placed than others in our existing relationships but it would be interesting to extend the possibilities for this (if others are interested) outside of established structures. Isn't that the point of 'reassembling the social'?

You're not alone. Dialogue good, but I feel it needs to move on from defining territory/rules of engagement to the more interesting ground of practice - and yes the two aren't distinct and will/should fold in on/inform each other, but would like to collaboratively put some meat and/or veg in the sandwich please. Let's go to play.

I agree, though I don't think the dialogue needs to change from defining territories to grounds of practice, but rather the two need to be constantly addressed together (as you suggest). This does mean that we need to introduce practice into the discussion. Perhaps we need to upgrade, keeping what we already have and satisfying out need for more. Can we begin to think about producing a residency programme then?

Artist In Residence

Can I propose we purchase a Manque Manque pocket book and this then resides with Tom and then Rob for a period. Rules being pencil/pen only. Possible organic objects (pockets being pockets). It would be lovely to be able to touch and feel the prose/pondering in a more raw state and feel a sense of discussion that avoids the static. Could the pocket book be posted and become an artefact maybe alongside the texts of the blog. Is this asking too much? I like the smell of paper.
